What the formula catches

The small costs that quietly eat your profit.

Underpricing usually comes from what was left out, not from bad arithmetic.

01

Materials and waste

Count every component, then allow for blanks, misprints, spills, and other normal production loss.

02

Your working time

Turn minutes into a real labor cost using an hourly rate you choose.

03

Overhead and packing

Give software, equipment, workspace, labels, and packaging a place in the price.

04

Fees and discounts

Work backward from percentage fees so your intended profit is still there after the sale.

Common questions

Pricing questions deserve plain answers.

How do I calculate a price for a handmade product?

Add the materials, labor, packaging, and overhead needed for one sellable item. Then account for selling fees and the profit margin you want to keep. The calculator handles the formula as you type.

Should I count my labor and profit separately?

Yes. Labor pays you for the time needed to do the work. Profit stays with the business to cover risk, replace equipment, develop products, and grow.

What profit margin should I use?

There is no single target that fits every product. Consider demand, competition, production risk, sales volume, and how often you discount. Try several realistic targets and compare the final price with your market.

Why does a selling fee increase the suggested price so much?

A percentage fee is charged on the final selling price, not just your cost. The calculator works backward to leave your chosen margin after the fee is taken.

Do you keep the numbers I enter?

The free calculator runs in your browser. The values are not sent to us unless you choose to create an account and save a product.

What does a free account include?

A free account can save three products and five reusable materials. It also includes sales channel comparisons, cost and price histories, margin checks, calculator defaults, and CSV downloads.

Can I cancel Pro myself?

Yes. Open Billing in your account to update your payment method or cancel. Your account returns to the free plan when the paid period ends. Your saved work stays in place, but free limits apply to new products and materials.
